Short Biography

Ron Meyers is an emeritus professor of the University of Georgia, Athens, GA where he taught for over 20 years. He received his BS and MS degrees in Art Education from the State University College at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY and received his MFA degree in Ceramics from the School for American Craftsmen, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester , NY . His work is represented in many museums and private collections and is a 2007 recipient of the NCECA Excellence in Teaching Award and by the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis, MN as the 2008 Regis Masters Series Honor. The Regis Masters series honors senior artists that have had a major impact on the development of 20 th and 21 st ceramics in the United States .
